Almeria Province
Having a surface area of over 8,769 km2, Almeria is the most Easterly Province of Andalucia. It´s coastline stretches for 214km and consists of many isolated beaches and makes up a approximately 25% of the whole coastline of Andalucia.

Almeria´s climate is subtropical, Mediterranean, warm and dry and holds the title of being the Andalucian city with the most hours of sun a year, a total of over 3,000. The average annual temperature is 18/19°C, and the temperature of its waters in the winter is warmer than that of the air, which invites you to swim at that time of the year.

Its most outstanding feature is its cloudless, bright sky. The mild climate which Almeria enjoys makes it a tourist destination where original holidays can be programmed all year, in which you can enjoy the beaches, as well as any other kind of activities or active sports and cultural visits to its historical-artistic patrimony; natural environments, regions and caves of high cultural interest

Almeria
Includes the provincial capital, a city founded by the Phoenicians and developed by the Romans that is dominated by a magnificent Moorish fort with many fascinating sights in the city and easy access to the airport.

Sierra Nevada East

Mojacar
Situated in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera mountain range Mojacar still retains the charm and tranquility of times gone by. Its whitewashed houses spill down the steep hill the streets of which are too narrow to let cars pass. The playa is a modern development, 4 km of sandy beaches lined by beach bars and hotels but there are beyond another 10 km of unspoilt virgen beaches.

Roquetas
On the Costa west of the city lie the resorts of Aguadulce, Roquetas de Mar and Almerimar. These resorts offer good beaches, golf and bird watching.

Cabo de Gata
The Costa de Almeria, east of the city to Mojacar is backed by the Sierra del Cabo de Gata. Along this coast lie a wealth of the most wonderful beaches and coves you could imagine against the backdrop of the protected zone of the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata.

Los Filabres
The Sierra de los Filabres lies in a surreal landscape that is relatively uncharted territory, with mountain villages abandoned fincas and pastures of wild thyme, with occasional splashes of green and plenty of opportunities for bird and butterfly spotting.

Almanzora
This area is very rich in history with remains of prehistoric settlements and an abundance of citrus and fruit trees, minerals and marble. It even has its own Olympic Games that date back to Aben Humeya and the Moors and were resurrected in 1993 to the present day.
